Apple is rotten to the core. He steals, lies, pokes, annoys and generally makes life miserable for everyone around him. Told in punchy rhymes, his increasingly terrible behaviour eventually catches up with him in a satisfyingly dark little ending.

Talking about behaviour, kindness, consequences and how our actions affect other people, especially with children who prefer their lessons served with a lot of silliness.
How to use at home
Mostly, enjoy how awful Apple is. Afterwards, see if your child can spot what he did to each character and what he could have done differently. No lecture required.

How we found it
One of those books that caught our eye before we'd even opened it. Funny, brilliantly illustrated and not remotely earnest about delivering its message. Into The Bookshop it went.
