Big and Little do everything together until one day Big retreats into his shell. Little tries cake, friends and all sorts of ways to coax him out, but nothing works. Eventually, Big comes out in his own time, and what helps is simply having his friend there.

How to use at home
Ask what Little tried and whether Big was ready for those things. It’s a nice opening for talking about the different ways we can be there for someone without demanding that they cheer up.
